Gen 1:7 - God made the expanse, and separated the waters which were below the expanse from the waters which were above the expanse; and it was so. (NASB)
I am feeling totally surrounded by the basic component of creation, Abba. I feel like I am in the middle of an atom bomb – like I am at the core of the bomb, waiting for that moment when I would explode. This is not a bomb of destruction, but a bomb of creation, waiting to go off. When this bomb explodes, it does not destroy; it creates something wonderful and beautiful. What will be made when I explode, Abba? What will I be? What will fill the earth? Since it is Your creative bomb, I know it will be beautiful and wonderful and it will glorify You. What will it be, Abba? Please open my eyes and my heart and show me what You have chosen for me to explode to be. Amen.
Gen 1:8 - God called the expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. (NASB)
A second day, Abba, a second day. Today is the second day of this exercise and I thank You for telling me to do it. I have already learned so much and it has helped clear my mind. You are such an awesome God and I am thankful you are part of my life. I thank You for putting me in this expanse where I am surrounded by the waters of Your creation. I am surrounded by the basic elements of Your creation and You call me to be a part of that creation and to walk with You in continuing to create. Thank you for the new ideas of how to market the book You helped me to write. Thank you for this second day of establishing myself in Your word and thinking about every word in Your scriptures. A second day – it is hard to believe it has only been two days and I have learned so much. I look forward to all that You will teach me in the many coming days of spending time in Your word.
