Genesis 1:16-17 - God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also. God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, (NASB)
What kind of light am I, Abba? What kind of light do You want me to be? Am I to be a tiny little light that can barely be seen or am a slightly larger star or what? I am no star, no light, at all without You, Abba. I have no light to give, nothing to give anyone, except that I have You to share with them. The only value I have is my value though You. Please let me be a star reflecting Your light to others. It doesn’t matter how much light I give or how many people see my light as long as it is Your light that I am showing to others. What is my light, Abba? What kind of light do You want me to be? And where does my light shine? Is it in my writing or in something else I am to be doing? Please tell me or show me the type of light I am and where I am.
The stars are in the expanse, in that part of creation which holds the waters which are the basic element of creation. Thank You, Abba, that I am one of those stars, one You have called to be a part of Your ever continuing, ever expanding creation. Thank You for making me one to give light to the earth. I just need some of the details, Abba, so I will know what I should be doing. Please open my eyes and my heart to know how You want me to be fulfilling that role. Abba, any role, no matter how small is important to Your creation. It doesn’t matter whether my light is bright or dim. All that matters is that I am part of Your creative plan and that I am fulfilling my part. Please show me how to do that, Abba. Please show me how. I have no abilities outside of You and I have no way to know what is right for me to do.
