Darkness

God called the light day, and the darkness he called night. And here was evening and there was morning, one day. (Genesis 1:5, NASB)

This verse, Abba, makes me think even more strongly that the darkness is not meant as spiritual darkness. That it is just the darkness of the night, the time when we can rest. I am reading this as the darkness is a good thing and cannot be equated with the difference between sin and following you as many people do. Maybe this is something I should call into research in one of the commentaries about, not, Abba, that I think they have all the answers, but as something they can give me some insight on. But, I know Abba that Yours is the best insight and Your meaning is what I want to know. I think we need to be careful in saying that all “darkness” refers to sin. I just can’t see where that is the meaning here. Abba, please open my mind to see the meaning Your way.

I agree that the darkness is

I agree that the darkness is not bad in this reference. A period of a day is both light and dark. Rest is part of God's plan. Something to think about. Interesting thing you are doing here, Chris.
